Brian Smith

With over 40 years in law enforcement, private investigation, and public service, Brian K. Smith serves as the backbone of Locksmith’s expertise and field integrity. A former Chief Deputy of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office and Detective Sergeant with the Cleveland Police Department, Brian has led major investigations, covert surveillance operations, and intelligence programs that shaped regional criminal enforcement.

In addition to founding his own PI firm and serving as a County Commissioner for eight years, Brian has consulted for law firms on complex legal investigations and fraud cases. His career has been recognized by the Tennessee General Assembly for outstanding public service and law enforcement leadership.

At Locksmith, Brian brings this deep operational insight to both field work and instruction—helping ensure our team delivers not only compliant, high-caliber services, but also real-world, legally sound training to the next generation of professionals.
